My first embroidery was a school project, I was 7 and, to be honest, it was fairly awful, but you have to start somewhere. The following 2 school projects were a bit nicer and did encourage me to make some more, but it's only when I was about 20 years old and discovered cross-stitch that I started in earnest.

Following are the pictures of some of my projects.  Most I don't have anymore because I make them mostly for friends and family.

I fell in love with this one as soon as I saw it:Celtic Christmas by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum from the Lavender and Lace series. Had to have it!

This I consider as my masterpiece to date.  It is about 140cm tall by 90cm wide.  It was my second project and I did it for a couple of friends and their (5) kids.  The characters are based on Kate Greenaway designs.

I have started a series of initials for the 5 children, doing (at first) Cicely ?'s fairies for the girls and Country Companions for the boys. (I seem to have a problem framing with my camera...) I made the frames myself (it's more economical and quicker!)

I made this one for a friend's wedding.  I adaped a Lanarte kit from a bell-pull to have the 4 birds circling the entwined initials.

I made this one for my sister, because it looked so much like her cat...
